As the temperatures drop, flu and winter colds become more prevalent. We continue to keep our classrooms, buildings, and shared spaces clean and sanitized to help reduce the spread of illness. We ask you and your family to practice the following safety protocols:
- Wearing a face covering for 10 days following an exposure to COVID is recommended
- Frequent handwashing with soap and water
- Covering coughs and sneezes; do not touch your face with unwashed hands
- Staying home from school, child care, sports, and other activities if you are feeling ill
If your student has a temperature above 100 degrees, vomiting, diarrhea, or is not well enough to participate in school, please keep your student home and seek the advice of a healthcare professional as needed. Students may return to school once they have been fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications, and they are well enough to participate. Students may return to school once 24 hours have passed since their last episode of vomiting or diarrhea.
If you have general questions regarding your students' health or the district’s illness protocols, please contact your student’s school school health office.
