Health Services

Welcome to Health Services!

Robbinsdale Area Schools Health Services Department seeks to create and sustain a school environment that promotes and supports student health, well-being, and academic achievement. Research shows healthy students are better learners.

Students are expected to participate in all activities, including outdoor recess and physical education, unless an order is received from a licensed health care provider. The order must include the reason for the restriction, length of restriction, and health care provider signature.

By the first day of school, all students attending Robbinsdale Area Schools must be in compliance with Minnesota Immunization Law.

School Immunization Requirements Include:
  • Hepatitis A and B vaccination for children enrolling in child care or early childhood programs.
  • Meningococcal vaccination for secondary students, beginning in 7th grade.
  • Tdap (tetanus-diphtheria-pertussis) vaccination for secondary students, beginning in 7th grade.
  • Tdap, Polio, MMR, Varicella, and Hepatitis B are still required under new immunization law.

Medical and conscientious exemptions are still allowed (see Student Immunization Form).

Student immunization records from a physician, public clinic, caregiver, or previous school are acceptable for school notification. Records must include specific month, day, and year for each immunization. Students will not be allowed to attend school until they are in compliance with current state health requirements. Please bring all immunization records when registering your child for school.
